Need A Hug?

Ever have those days where you could use a hug?  Yet, it seems that there is no one in the world there to wrap their loving arms around you simply because they love you.  The Savior of the World, once wrapped in strips of cloth as a baby, stands ready to wrap His loving arms around you .  God gave the World the Ultimate Gift, yet so many reject this Gift and lay it aside.  When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you have unwrapped the Greatest Gift you will ever receive.
Nothing in this world can compare!

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the "GIFT" of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

10 YEARS!!

I know this is a few days late, but some things are worth sharing even if they are late.  This past Friday, December 4, 2009, was our 10th Anniversary.  Alot has happened in 10 years, and looking at this picture is definitely proof of that... "Oh how I wish I could get in that dress!" Oh well! In some ways it seems we have been married forever, yet it seems like it was only yesterday.  God has worked countless miracles in our marriage through the good times and the bad.  We have a lot of memories, some that make me cry and some that make me laugh, but through it all, without God we would have never made it this far.  A marriage takes commitment from both partners and with God in the center it can not fail.  With God in the center, as you continue to draw closer to Him, you will be drawn closer to one another.  I Love my husband and I am thankful for the two precious boys God has given to us.

If You Only Knew

This song was played at my aunt's funeral today. She suffered several years with cancer. Many prayers have been prayed for her healing, and even though God called her home, she is now "HEALED"!! Those prayers were answered and her sickness is gone. It is hard for us to let go of our loved ones, but when we let them go into the arms of Jesus it is so much easier. Phyllis, I will miss your beautiful smile and your sweet spirit, but I know you are having the time of your life! I am so thankful that you are no longer suffering! Can't wait until we meet again!

~Happy Thanksgiving~

I could start now and go for all eternity and it still wouldn't be enough time or words to express my gratitude for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I love the words of this song, Jesus I Thank You!! Thank You for loving and setting me free, Thank You for giving Your life just for me. He so graciously gives to me, each and every second of every day, He is continuously giving to me. The gratitude I show in return can never measure up to His goodness and faithfulness to me, but when it comes from a grateful heart, I am sure it pleases Him!! Jesus, I Thank You for everything because You are the source of every good thing in my life!! Spend time today thanking Him! I pray you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Hear Us From Heaven

We were in revival Wednesday evening through Sunday evening and it has been an awesome experience for our church (East Roxboro Church of God)!! Evangelist Mike Warwick preached powerfully every service and I praise God for his obedience. I saw lives changed right before my eyes. The magnitude of worship was something I have been praying for to happen in our church for a long time!! God can not move in a little box that so many churches have confined Him to. He desires us to worship Him, to be intimate with Him, to enjoy His presence. When we worship Him individually like I witnessed this week in our church, His glory dwells in the House!! This is the themesong for our church for this season and my heart's cry as well!! I will be sharing some of the testimonies of what happened during this revival, here are a few that I have received so far:

Lisa Neely ~ "God will give me the wisdom and strength to go through whatever He wants me to go through, everything is in His hands!"

Mary Phillips ~ "I just feel "FREE"!!!!!! Like all of that stuff is gone!!!!!"

Jeremiah Smith (My 6 year old) ~ "I cried, God touched my heart!"

Assistant Pastor Wesley Black ~ "I am claiming that my blood platelets will start rising after 5 years!!"

Lord, hear our cry
Come, heal our land
Breathe life into these dry and thirsty souls
Lord, hear our prayer
Forgive our sin
As we call on Your name
Would you make this a place
For your glory to dwell

Open the blind eyes
Unlock the deaf ears
Come to Your people
As we draw near
Hear us from heaven
Touch our generation
We are your people
Crying out in desperation

I Am The God That Healeth Thee

Last night during our revival service, the evangelist (Rev. Mike Warwick) handed me an outline of one of his sermons entitled "Waiting On A Miracle". I know of so many who are in need of a miracle. The evangelist this week has shared several testimonies of the many times God has healed his wife and several others in his family and ministry. This song couldn't be more appropriate for anyone who is faced with sickness in their body, soul or spirit. God says in His Word Exodus 15:26 If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of those diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians, For I Am the Lord that healeth thee.

How encouraging to know that He doesn't say "I used to be the Lord that healeth thee" but He says I AM the Lord that healeth thee, meaning He "continues to be" the Lord that healeth thee. His healing is not just a thing of the past, but it is past, present and future! Praise God!!

"His Word is a healing Word!"(Rev. Mike Warwick) Psalms 107:20 He sent his Word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions!! The same word of God that created the heavens and the earth is able to heal our lives. Whenever the word of God is allowed to be heard by people and received by faith, it is going to heal people.

One True God

Jeremiah 10: 10But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation. 11Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens. 12He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion. 13When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures. 14Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them. 15They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish. 16The portion of Jacob is not like them: for he is the former of all things; and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: The LORD of hosts is his name.

As I have been studying this week, I realize that there are several religions that believe in "GOD". However, this does not mean they believe in the "ONE TRUE GOD". I know several people with the name "Bill", but that does not make them all the same. The God of the Trinity (God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ) and God the Holy Ghost) is the ONE and ONLY TRUE GOD!! HE IS THE REAL THING!!

Come To Me

Matthew 11:28-30(KJV) 28) Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29) Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30) For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

(The Message) Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me - watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly.

Children Listen

Last night I was asking my husband a question and his normal response was "HUH?" So, I replied "You really need to get your ears checked, I get so tired of having to repeat everything I say!" As we were leaving the house my 4 year old was in the back seat behind me and he was saying something to me and I had the radio on and couldn't hear him so I said "What did you say Jordan?" and he said "You need to get your ears checked too, you can't hear good either!" haha. Then he went on to say "They do it at my school, in the gym".....Maybe that is something my husband and I need to check into.

Even when we think they aren't listening or watching..... more than likely....They are! Our Heavenly Father is also listening..Psalms 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer! Reminds me of the song...
Oh be careful little mouth what you say, Oh be careful little mouth what you say, For the Father up above is looking down in love, Oh be careful little mouth what you say.

The Silversmith

My brother sent this story to me last night and it really ministered to me. He is supposed to send me the name of the person who wrote it, so until then it remains anonymous. Hope you enjoy it!

I heard a story today about a group of women in a Bible study trying to find the meaning in the parable of Jesus found in Malachi 3 . It reads in part: He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; He will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. As I did my research for this post, I found the story is somewhat of an urban legend. It was so poignant and relevant that I thought it was still worth sharing and I hope it blesses you!

The women in this Bible study wondered how the verse related to the character and nature of God. One of the women decided she would research the process of refining silver. The next week, she found a silversmith who agreed to allow her to observe his work. He never asked why.

The day had come. The woman carefully watched the silversmith as he held a piece of silver over the fire. He demonstrated and explained that it was important to hold the silver right in the middle of the fire, where the flames were hottest, as to burn away all the impurities.

The woman thought about the Bible study. Then she asked if he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver was being refined. The man answered yes; not only did he have to sit there, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. If the silver was left in the flames a moment too long, it could be destroyed.

The woman was silent. Then she asked the silversmith how he would know when the silver was fully refined. He smiled and said, "oh, that's easy - when I see my image in it".

Are you feeling the heat? Are you feeling refined? Are you feeling God?

Falling In Love With Jesus

I first heard this song sung by "The Mills Family" while ministering at our church. It is a beautiful song and so true! Falling in love with Jesus is the best thing I've ever done. In His arms I feel protected, there is nothing in the world that can compare to Him and the love He has for me! This is Brooke Mills singing and sharing what this song means to her. Enjoy! Thanks Brooke!

I'd Need A Savior

I have heard this song several times on K-Love and it blesses my heart every time. It assures me that God is so aware of what we need even before we realize we have a need. God never ceases to amaze me, He knew even before He gave me my first breath that I would need a Savior. He is such a loving God that He even went as far as providing me with a Savior, Who paid the price for my sins through His death on an old rugged cross. Such LOVE! John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. As this song says "He's what I hold on to!" I know that He will see me through whatever I may face because He is not only aware of my needs, He already has the provision. He knows what my future holds, just as He knew I'd need a Savior!

Jesus Is All I Need

Sitting here today doing some reading and a precious memory came to my mind of something my son said when he was 4 years old. He was talking with the nurse during his pre-op. His arm was broken and they were scheduling him to be put to sleep in order to set the bone and put the cast on. The nurse told him he was allowed to bring one thing that was very special to him, whether it was a special toy or a special blanket or whatever he felt close to. I said "Jeremiah, do you have anything you want to bring with you?" His immediate reply was, "Jesus". I still get emotional even as I type. I thought to myself, what else could He need? Jesus is All we need! He is the answer to whatever we may be facing today. The words of this chorus is an old favorite of mine:

He's all I need
He's all I need
Jesus is all I need
He's all I need
He's all I need
Jesus is all I need

My little boy went in with Jesus that day and came out with Jesus, there was no need for anything or anyone else!

One Child's Junk Another Child's Treasure

My husband loves junk, on the other hand, I don't. I have a scenario that if I haven't used it in a while or if it hasn't been used in a while it is considered junk. Even if I do consider it junk that doesn't mean it still can't be of use to someone else. Something that I can't seem to get any use out of, someone else can. I have been able to use things that other people considered their junk but in turn served a purpose for me.

The other day as my husband was making one of his trips to the landfill, he came across a couple of things that he brought home. One was a trash can for outdoors. I already have a trash can and I like my trash can because I know it's my trash that is put in there and no one elses. He wanted to switch my trash can with the one he found at the landfill, that didn't set too well on my stomach, so I fussed until he switched it back. Now he uses the one he found at the landfill to put cans in. I can deal with that.

The other item he found ended up being a treasure to my little boy. After a good washing and pumping up the tires it practically looks like a new bike. My little boy calls it his new bike. He already has a bike but he still takes pride in this one. So, some good things can be found at the landfill, even if I don't like junk.

When looking at others who have messed up in life we sometimes will judge them in the same manner as we judge our junk. We want to throw them away and have nothing else to do with them. I am so thankful that God isn't like that. When he saved me, He took me out of the landfill so to speak and gave me a bath in the blood of Jesus. Now I am no longer junk, I am His treasure! He can do the same for you!

The Only Way!!!!!

I realize this video has been around for a while and some of you have probably already seen it, but I felt within my spirit the need to share these words. Please do not buy into the lies of the enemy!! Please read these words before you watch this video and then read them again after you watch it!! Let it sink deep into your spirit that JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN!

Jesus is the Way .... The Only Way!
John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by ME."

Being a good person is not the way, showing love and kindness to others will not save you, giving all you have to the poor will not grant you access into heaven .... there is nothing you can do on your own to earn salvation....JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN... Only by receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour can you enter into the kingdom of God.

Don't let the devil deceive you by believing there is some other way, THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY!!! John 8:44b For he (the devil) is a liar and the father of it.

Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent ye, and believe the gospel."
To believe the gospel , is to believe "...that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures" (1 Cor. 15:3b-4)

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life; and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." John 3:36

The Blood

One night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God at her heart. She responded to God's call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. The young woman had a very rough past, involving alcohol, drugs, and prostitution. But, the change in her was evident. As time went on she became a faithful member of the church. She eventually became involved in the ministry, teaching young children.

It was not very long until this faithful young woman had caught the eye and heart of the pastor's son. The relationship grew and they began to make wedding plans. This is when the problems began. You see, about one half of the church did not think that a woman with a past such as hers was suitable for a pastor's son. The church began to argue and fight about the matter. So they decided to have a meeting.

As the people made their arguments and tensions increased, the meeting was getting completely out of hand. The young woman became very upset about all the things being brought up about her past. As she began to cry the pastor's son stood to speak. He could not bear the pain it was causing his wife to be. He began to speak and his statement was this: "My fiancée's past is not what is on trial here.. What you are questioning is the ability of the blood of Jesus to wash away sin. Today you have put the blood of Jesus on trial. So, does it wash away sin or not?"

The whole church began to weep as they realized that they had been slandering the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Too often, even as Christians, we bring up the past and use it as a weapon against our brothers and sisters. Forgiveness is a very foundational part of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

If the blood of Jesus does not cleanse the other person completely then it cannot cleanse us completely.. If that is the case, then we are all in a lot of trouble.

What can wash away my sins?

Nothing but the blood of Jesus! End of case!!!!

The Pastor's Son

Every Sunday afternoon, after the morning service at the church, the Pastor and his eleven year old son would go out into their town and hand out Gospel Tracts . This particular Sunday afternoon, as it came time for the Pastor and his son to go to the streets with their tracts, it was very cold outside, as well as pouring rain.

The boy bundled up in his warmest and driest clothes and said, 'OK, dad, I'm ready.'His Pastor dad asked, 'Ready for what?' 'Dad, it's time we gather our tracts together and go out.' Dad responds, 'Son, it's very cold outside and it's pouring rain.'

The boy gives his dad a surprised look, asking, 'But Dad, aren't people still going to Hell, even though it's raining?' Dad answers, 'Son, I am not going out in this weather.' Despondently, the boy asks, 'Dad, can I go? Please?' His father hesitated for a moment then said, 'Son, you can go. Here are the tracts, be careful son.' 'Thanks Dad!'

And with that, he was off and out into the rain. This eleven year old boy walked the streets of the town going door to door and handing everybody he met in the street a Gospel Tract. After two hours of walking in the rain, he was soaking, bone-chilled wet and down to his VERY LAST TRACT. He stopped on a corner and looked for someone to hand a tract to, but the streets were totally deserted. Then he turned toward the first home he saw and started up the sidewalk to the front door and rang the door bell. He rang the bell, but nobody answered. He rang it again and again, but still no one answered. He waited but still no answer.

Finally, this eleven year old tro oper turned to leave, but something stopped him. Again, he turned to the door and rang the bell and knocked loudly on the door with his fist. He waited, something holding him there on the front porch! He rang again and this time the door slowly opened. Standing in the doorway was a very sad-looking elderly lady. She softly asked, 'What can I do for you, son?' With radiant eyes and a smile that lit up her world, this little boy said, 'Ma'am, I'm sorry if I disturbed you, but I just want to tell you that *JESUS REALLY DOES LOVE YOU* and I came to give you my very last Gospel Tract which will tell you all about JESUS and His great LOVE..' With that, he handed her his last tract and turned to leave. She called to him as he departed. 'Thank you, son! And God Bless You!'

Well, the following Sunday morning in church Pastor Dad was in the pulpit. As the service began, he asked, 'Does anybody have testimony or want to say anything?' Slowly, in the back row of the church, an elderly lady stood to her feet. As she began to speak, a look of glorious radiance came from her face, 'No one in this church knows me. I've never been here before. You see, before last Sunday I was not a Christian. My husband passed on some time ago, leaving me totally alone in this world. Last Sunday, being a particularly cold and rainy day, it was even more so in my heart that I came to the end of the line where I no longer had any hope or will to live.

So I took a rope and a chair and ascended the stairway into the attic of my home. I fastened the rope securely to a rafter in the roof, then stood on the chair and tightened the other end of the rope around my neck. Standing on that chair, so lonely and broken-hearted I was about to leap off, when suddenly the loud ringing of my doorbell downstairs startled me. I thought, 'I'll wait a minute, and whoever it is will go away.' I waited and waited, but the ringing doorbell seemed to get louder and more insistent, and then the person ringing also started knocking loudly... I thought to myself again, 'Who on earth could this be? Nobody ever rings my bell or comes to see me.' I loosened the rope from my neck and started for the front door, all the while the bell rang louder and louder.

When I opened the door and looked I could hardly believe my eyes, for there on my front porch was the most radiant and angelic little boy I had ever seen in my life. His SMILE, oh, I could never describe it to you! The words that came from his mouth caused my heart that had long been dead, TO LEAP TO LIFE as he exclaimed with a cherub-like voice, 'Ma'am, I just came to tell you that JESUS REALLY DOES LOVE YOU .' Then he gave me this Gospel Tract that I now hold in my hand.

As the little angel disappeared back out into the cold and rain, I closed my door and read slowly every word of this Gospel Tract. Then I went up to my attic to get my rope and chair. I wouldn't be needing them any more. You see-- -I am now a Happy Child of the KING. Since the address of your church was on the back of this Gospel Tract, I have come here to personally say THANK YOU to God's little angel who came just in the nick of time and by so doing, spared my soul from an eternity in hell.'

There was not a dry eye in the church. And as shouts of praise and honour to THE KING resounded off the very rafters of the building, Pastor Dad descended from the pulpit to the front pew where the little angel was seated.. He took his son in his arms and sobbed uncontrollably. Probably no church has had a more glorious moment, and probably this universe has never seen a Papa that was more filled with love & honour for his son... Except for One.

I Am Free!

I am thankful for my national freedom that I am priviledged with in this country. I am thankful to those who have played a part in making it all possible. I am thankful that I can go to the House of God and worship my Savior freely and my heart goes out to those in other countries who aren't blessed with the same freedom. Things are happening in this country that I know that God is not pleased with and it is my heart's cry for America to turn back to God. I am proud to be an American and I am proud to proclaim that IN GOD I DO STILL TRUST!!

When I think of freedom, I realize that it is a state of personal independence. That may be the case on a national level, but spiritually in the eyes of God we are not free apart from Christ. The day I asked Jesus into my heart and to forgive me of my sins was the day I experienced what it really means to be free! Thank You Jesus for my FREEDOM!!!

John 8:36
So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.

A Call to Anguish

My heart has been heavily burdened over the past few months, at times all I can do is cry. God has given me several dreams within the past few weeks that have shaken me for those who are dying in sin. I go to bed many nights in tears over those in my family who are lost and sometimes I wake up in tears over a dream I have had that will move me to pray for that individual. I saw something the other night that really disturbed me and I said to myself, "God if this hurts me, how much more does it hurt You?" God reminds me of how much He loves the sinner in Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. I think of my own children and how my heart would burst within me if one of them were lost, I would be weeping and hurting so bad for my child to be returned back to me. The cry of God's heart is the same and He has commissioned you and I to go and get them!

There's a song that is sung often in my church called "I Believe He's Coming Back". I love this song because I do believe He is coming back. But, in the back of my mind I wonder, how far away in our minds have we placed His return. What would I do different if I "believed" He was coming back in the next couple of hours? How many people would I call who aren't saved? How much more would I cry out in agony for those who are lost? Lord, Help me to pray, live and witness like I really "believe" You are returning and help me be a road block for that person closest to hell!

You .... Follow Me

You … Follow Me

Jesus gives Peter a command (21:19) … Follow Me! Peter turns back and sees the beloved disciple following and asks Jesus “What about this man, Lord? (21:21)” Jesus replies, “If I want him to remain till I come, what concern is that of yours? You … Follow me!” (21:22)

Peter is told that his business is to follow the Lord and be faithful to his own commission; the Lord has His own plans for His beloved disciple but it is not necessary that Peter should know them. So often we want to question the plan that God has for us in comparison to the plan He has for others in Christ. When we start comparing our walk with Christ, our ministry, our calling, our talents, etc., with others, we are using worldly standards. The only standard Jesus left for us was to follow Him.

Being obedient does not mean that we are called to be better or perform better than someone else. Often times we will be judged by the standards of others, but we need not allow this to set us back in our walk with Christ. God has a different assignment for me and it will require different methods, different paths, different contacts, etc. than those of my fellow brother or sister in Christ. Our lives were not designed for each of us to endure the same hardships, failures, successes, etc. Some are given mega churches, while others are given small churches, some are missionaries, some are evangelists, some endure sickness, some financial struggles, some He will put on television, some He will put on the street corner. We are simply commanded to follow the plan He has designed for us.

It is comforting to know that Jesus will not judge according to my superiority or inferiority over anybody. He has a different work for me to do and a different one for you to do as well.

"You … Follow me!” (John 21:22)

PEACE

When I went to bed last night I had one word running through my mind .... PEACE... I immediately began to thank God for it! I recalled the many things that God has brought me through in my life and I said "God, only You can give real peace". Through heartaches, resentment, abuse, neglect, confusion, loss, mistreatment, sickness, and the list could go on and on, God has always brought me back to that place of ....PEACE.... I remember a saying that I once read
Know JESUS, Know PEACE... NO Jesus, NO Peace
From my experience I can honestly say that is true. I talk to people all the time who are not at peace with themselves. These individuals know where to find peace, but for some reason they "choose" to go in the wrong direction. They are willing to try so many other methods except the one that works. Only Jesus can give you real peace, no need to search any other place! I want to leave you with a passage of Scripture:

Isaiah 59:8 They don’t know where to find peace
or what it means to be just and good.
They have mapped out crooked roads,
and no one who follows them knows a moment’s peace

Goodbye Friskie!

Today I went outside to feed my kitty and she didn't come up on the porch like she always does. Usually she is standing at the door when I open it. But, today she wasn't. I put the food out and came back in for a while. Then I went back out and I saw this huge bird flying away, not sure why the bird was in the yard, it was strange because I had never seen one that big in my yard. A few minutes later I went back outside to put the battery in my son's toy corvette and I turned to look beside me and I saw her laying next to the sandbox and my heart burst, it was so overwhelming! I have had her for approximately 9 years and I will miss her so much.

The Perfect Picture

Have you ever put a puzzle together? I have put the 100 piece puzzles together before but I have never mastered anything above that. I wouldn't try it now anyway because I have 2 small boys who would strow the pieces everywhere. I have seen the finished product of several masterpieces and it is amazing to me the picture that is formed when all of the pieces are in place. As I ponder upon my own life I realize that there have been times when I tried to make a piece fit that wasn't supposed to fit. I have tried to make people a part of my life that were never meant to be in my picture at all. I have tried to add many things to my puzzle that were never part of God's perfect picture of my life. I am so glad that God has it all figured out. God knows exactly what my puzzle will look like when all the pieces are together. If there is something in my life that isn't supposed to be there, He removes it. He also adds the things to the puzzle that He intends to be there. There have been times when God held back some pieces just to test my faith. In putting together my 100 piece puzzles, I couldn't have done it without looking at the finished product on the box, the picture that I was working towards. The plan for my life has already been designed by God and He is the only one who knows what it will look like. Yes, it will hurt when He removes the pieces I thought were meant to be there, but I rest assured knowing that He is in control and He has the perfect picture in the preview of His mind and when my life is complete it will be a masterpiece of God's Design and not mine.

Even In The Valley

Have you ever heard the song by the Whisnants "Even In The Valley"? The chorus goes like this:

Even in the valley God is good
Even in the valley he is faithful and true
He carries his children through
Like he said he would
Even in the valley God is good

Sometimes we are placed in situations that are uncomfortable, we have to endure sickness, failures, losses, and many other tests and trials, but even in the middle of these situations, God is good. Since God has called me into the ministry to proclaim the Gospel I have preached a total of 4 sermons. One of these sermons was based upon Psalms 22. I have always went directly to Psalms 23 because it is one of my favorites. David had come to the realization that the Lord was his Shepherd and even though he had to walk through the valley, he could rest assured that the rod and the staff of his Shepherd would comfort him. Psalm 22 is a psalm of suffering, a psalm that happens "in the valley" but one particular verse stuck out at me and it can be found in Psalms 22 v3 "But You are holy". Holy means "perfect in goodness and righteousness", meaning right smack dab in the middle of our pain and sufferings God is still good! and He is still faithful and true and rest assured that He will carry His children through just like He said He would cause even in the valley God is Good!

Don't Lose Your PRAISE

A few weeks ago I attended a Women's Conference (Transformed from Grace to Glory)and a very anointed lady did a praise dance to the song "I Never Lost My Praise" by Tramaine Hawkins. I was truly blessed by this song and the awesome anointing through this sister's dance ministry. The words really speak to my heart because I have been through some seasons where it seemed I had lost everything. I have lost some things that were very dear to me, some relationships I once held so dear seemed to slip away. But Praise God through it all, I didn't lose my hope, I didn't lose my joy, I didn't lose my faith, but most of all, Praise be to God, I didn't lose my praise! I believe that no matter what we lose in life, we can still make it, but if we ever lose our hope in Jesus, if we ever lose our joy in Christ, if we ever lose our faith in God or our praise for our salvation found in the Blood of Jesus Christ, then we have truly lost it all. When our hope is in the economy, when our joy is in material possessions, when our faith is in man, we stand at high risk of losing our praise. But when our hope, joy and faith rest in Jesus Christ our Redeemer who has conquered death and hell, we have a reason to PRAISE!!!!!! Enjoy this video by Anointed Praise!!

My Very Present Help

A dear sister of mine gave this picture to all the mothers at church on Mother's Day. I have looked at this picture several times and it speaks to my heart every time. There is a song that comes to my mind every time I look at this picture. The words of this song go as follows:

Where do I go, When there's no one else to turn to
Who do I talk to, When nobody wants to listen
Who do I lean on, When there's no foundation stable
I go to the rock I know he's able
I go to the rock

Chorus:
I go to the rock of my salvation
I go to the stone that the builders rejected
I run to the mountain and the mountain stands by me
When the earth all around me is sinking sand
On Christ the solid rock I stand
When I need a shelter
When I need a friend I go to the rock

Where do I go, When the storms of life are threatening
Who do I turn to, When the winds of sorrow blow
And is there a refuge in the time of Tribulation
I go to the rock I know he's able
I go to the rock

Words by Dottie Rambo

Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble!
It is so comforting to know that I can go to the Rock any time I need to. When there's no one else to talk to, I can go to the Rock, when no one wants to listen, I can go to the Rock. When the storms of life are raging and I need a shelter, I can go to the Rock. When I need a refuge in the times of tribulation, I can go to the rock. When I need strength for the journey, I can go to the Rock. When I don't have the strength to make it, Praise God I can lean on the Rock!! I am so thankful that My God is a very present help! When I need a shelter and when I need a friend, I go to the Rock!!

He Rescued Me

I love this picture!! It reminds me of the day Jesus saved my soul. I was drowning in sin but Jesus rescued me. My life was so meaningless until I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. He is My Everything!

I Forgive You!

This is a letter written to a man on death row by the Father of the Man whom the man on death row had killed: You are probably surprised that I, of all people, am writing a letter to you, but I ask you to read it in its entirety and consider its request seriously.

As the Father of the man whom you took part in murdering, I have something very important to say to you.I forgive you. With all my heart, I forgive you. I realize it may be hard for you to believe, but I really do. At your trial, when you confessed to your part in the events that cost my Son his life and asked for my forgiveness, I immediately granted you that forgiving love from my heart. I can only hope you believe me and will accept my forgiveness.

But this is not all I have to say to you. I want to make you an offer -- I want you to become my adopted child. You see, my Son who died was my only child, and I now want to share my life with you and leave my riches to you. This may not make sense to you or anyone else, but I believe you are worth the offer. I have arranged matters so that if you will receive my offer of forgiveness, not only will you be pardoned for your crime, but you also will be set free from your imprisonment, and your sentence of death will be dismissed. At that point, you will become my adopted child and heir to all my riches.

I realize this is a risky offer for me to make to you -- you might be tempted to reject my offer completely -- but I make it to you without reservation. Also, I realize it may seem foolish to make such an offer to one who cost my Son his life, but I now have a great love and an unchangeable forgiveness in my heart for you.

Finally, you may be concerned that once you accept my offer you may do something to cause you to be denied your rights as an heir to my wealth.Nothing could be further from the truth. If I can forgive you for your part in my Son's death, I can forgive you for anything. I know you never will be perfect, but you do not have to be perfect to receive my offer. Besides, I believe that once you have accepted my offer and begin to experience the riches that will come to you from me, that your primary (though not always) response will be gratitude and loyalty. Some would call me foolish for my offer to you, but I wish for you to call me your Father.

Sincerely,
The Father of Jesus
